Designed to save money on the cost of chemicals and
reagents, this microscale chemistry kit comprises of 13 glass and plastic
components. It is perfect for experiments with milligram quantities of
reagents. By reducing the scale of organic reactions you automatically reduce
the cost of everything involved. It features many products currently offered in
standard size sets but on a much smaller scale. All glassware features 14/10 ground
glass joints for complete interchangeability. All components utilise a
combination of standard ground glass joints together with screw thread
couplings, sealing 'O' rings and plastic screw caps. The screw thread
connection system eliminates the requirement for grease, saves on space, using
the clamps vastly reduces the risk of glassware becoming loose during
reactions. Most standard organic chemistry techniques may be performed using
the Microscale Kit, including reflux, distillation, moisture sensitive
reactions and fractional distillation.
The kit is designed to be used with hot plates and
a sand bath, with no Bunsen burners present, thus eliminating the risk of
igniting highly flammable liquids.
All supplied in a sturdy Gratnells tray with protective
foam insert.
