GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Resuscitator intended for full-term babies, preterm and low-weight infants less than 10kg
INTENDED USE
Resuscitators are used for ventilation assistance in critical situations of respiratory distress or failure. It is considered essential equipment for health structures and emergency rescue team (to be available in emergency room, delivery room, operating theatre, intensive care unit, ambulance, etc.).
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Hand-operated in a vertical position; the inflatable bag is operated an upright position perpendicular to the body being ventilated.
Portable, self-inflating, reusable.
The resuscitator is autoclavable between 121°C and 134°C.
The capacity of the self-inflating ventilation bag is between 220 ml.
The resuscitator has a provision which allows connection of oxygen tubing.
The resuscitator is equipped with a non-rebreather valve.
Resuscitator is easy to disassemble, clean, disinfect, and reassemble.
The resuscitator is equipped with a pressure release (limiting) valve which safeguards against generating ventilation pressures over 45 cmH?O, while still allowing for an airway pressure of at least 30 cmH?O.
The pressure release valve should allow to be overridden by the user when higher pressures need to be generated in the airways.
When the pressure release valve is not overridden by the user, it should automatically return to its default position whereby it protects against excess pressures. Users should not be able to lock the pressure release valve in a permanent closed position whereby there is no longer a safeguard against excessive ventilation pressures.
All parts manufactured from high-strength, long-life materials that require no special maintenance or storage conditions.
