Description:
It provides pain stimulus by heated nichrome wire in a Rat’s tail to determine analgesic effect of drugs.
Complete with one spare element to work on 220 A.C.
How it works
The device uses a lamp to apply heat to the animal's tail, and the animal's reaction time is measured when it flicks its tail.
The test can be performed in auto or manual mode.
In auto mode, a photo detector stops the timer when the animal flicks its tail.
In manual mode, the user releases a foot-switch to stop the timer.
