EDVOTEK Electrophoresis Buffer 50x TAE

This 50-fold concentrated Tris-Acetate EDTA buffer (TAE), pH 7.8-8.0, has been optimised for agarose gel electrophoresis of nucleic acids. One volume of buffer is added to every 49 volumes of distilled or deionised water to prepare 1x working electrophoresis buffer.

Concentrated TAE Buffer specifically for use in the preparation of agarose gel for electrophoresis. Electrophoresis is the technique used to separate DNA using an electrical charge passed through a gel set in a chamber.
The buffer is used to prepare the gel used with the Edvotek M12 Electrophoresis system.
- When diluted, can be used to prepare agarose gels and to fill the electrophoresis tank for use during electrophoresis.
